Afghan applicants may apply as international candidates. Applicants with educational documents issued in Afghanistan must follow CZU's specific foreign-education recognition and document-verification requirements applicable to Afghanistan. English-taught programmes generally charge tuition fees, which vary considerably by faculty and programme. Czech-taught programmes at the public university may be tuition-free subject to the applicable admission and Czech-language requirements. CZU provides on-campus accommodation, although capacity is limited and students should apply early. International students are specifically included in the University's accommodation allocation system. Admission to CZU does not itself guarantee a Czech visa or residence permit.
